Cheats

Westwood say there are no cheats built into Red Alert. However... there are some small bugs which can be exploited.

Some are already mentioned in the tips sections of this website.

c1.01 Two tanks for the price of one. (I've never got this cheat to work, but people have told me they have so l am including it. Please let me know if you can do it.)
Build a war factory and a tank, hold the tank at 99% complete. Then build another war factory. Deploy the war factory and make it take the tank off hold, and immediately make the first war factory primary building. I've been told this makes one tank come out of each war factory.

c1.02 Long throw grenade (I've never got this cheat to work, but people have told me they have so l am including it. Please let me know if you can do it.)
Select a grenadier and tell him to force fire somewhere in front of him, them as he pulls his arm back move to anywhere on the map and tell him to force fire there instead. This is meant to make the grenade fly across the map to this point regardless of distance.

c1.03 Formation speed up
Can be done with other fast and slow units of the same group e.g.. tanks and mine layers. Simply build one cruiser and one transport, group them and put them in formation. Now the cruiser will move at the same speed as the transport, and will also fire faster.

c1.04 Overcome "silos needed"
When the computer says "ore silos needed", build an expensive building, this will use up some resources. Do not deploy the building but cancel it once the demand has decreased. This converts the money spend on the building into cash and not ore, so the refineries are not over flowing.

c1.05 Save power and generate money
After you have made service depot and soviet tech centre, you can sell them and still have the option to build/train the extra units.

c1.06 Transport 30 units in one naval transport
Naval transports can normally only carry up to 5 units. Fill 5 APCs with 25 men, then load the 5 full APCs into a transport. When they arrive you have 30 units, 25 men and 5 APCs

c1.07 Ant missions
If you have Counterstrike you can access secret ant missions by holding down shift and clicking the speaker image in the top right corner main menu screen.
