Keyboard Shortcuts

Ctrl + 1 - 0 puts highlighted units into numbered squads which can them be recalled by pressing the corresponding number.

Ctrl F9 - F12 this sets a shortcut to the current screen, so whenever you want to go back to that place on the map, simply press the corresponding key.

F = formation. When you select a numbered squad you can also put them in formation. This means you can position your units how you like, then put them in formation. When you move them they break formation, but when they stop they move back into the set formation. More commonly used for cheats detailed in the General Tips section.

Q = waypoints. This is extremely useful as it allows your units to move and fire. Simply highlight the unit and hold Q, then tell it to attack a unit, and keep holding Q and tell it to move somewhere as well. The unit will fire as it is moving to that position, this makes your tanks last longer as it is harder for the enemy tanks to hit moving targets.

Primary Building Double click on a building if you have more than one and it becomes primary building, this only works with buildings that build things like the MCV and barracks. Primary building means that all new units will come out of that building.

F1 during an online game allows you to type messages to your opponent.

Space bar to bring up the menu during a game.

Ctrl + Alt Escort a unit. Click a unit, and hold down ctrl + alt and select another unit. The first unit will follow the second unit around.

G = guard duty. Select a unit and press G and it will attack any enemy units that come within range. Be careful as sometimes they will pursue the enemy and break away from your main force - which usually results in death.
